IIE Officer Elections for 2012
Fellow IEs, the MSU Chapter of Institute of Industrial Engineers will be holding officer elections this Thursday, April 12th at 6pm in McCain 190. It will be an excellent opportunity for you to network with companies interested in professional development and become involved with opportunities that can benefit students in our department.
Available positions are:
President
Vice President
Secretary
Treasurer
Program Director
Public Relations Director
Engineering Student Council Chair
If you are interested in a position, please attend the meeting. If you are interested but absolutely cannot attend, contact Adam Collins at cac237@msstate.edu with the positions you are interested in and a brief description why you would be a good choice. Voters will look more favorably on those who come present their case as a potential officer.
All IIE members are asked to attend for voting. As a reminder, you will have to have your IIE dues paid ($32/yr) to be registered as an officer.

Ingalls Shipbuilding Info Session
Ingalls Shipbuilding, a division of Huntington Ingalls Industries, will be on campus Thursday March 1st to conduct an information session targeting undergraduate and graduate Industrial and System Engineering students. Ingalls Shipbuilding has pioneered the development and production of technologically advanced and highly capable warships for the surface Navy fleet, U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Marine Corps and foreign and commercial customers. The Industrial Engineering department at Ingalls Shipbuilding, Pascagoula, MS is looking to hire summer interns, co-ops, and full time positions. IIE Annual Regional Conference
Welcome back everyone!
The annual IIE Regional Conference is just around the corner. The registration deadline is Feb 1.
When: Feb 16-19 2012.
Where: Auburn University
Cost: $100 (partially reimbursed after trip)
The 2012 IIE Southeast Student Regional Conference is made up of students from 15 different schools all coming together to network with their peers and future colleagues and to further their interest in the Industrial Engineering discipline. It will take place at Auburn University in Auburn, Alabama.
Registration Info:

The cost is $100 per student, and the department will reimburse attendees for at least half (additional reimbursement based on number going). Travel is covered, and meals are covered while attending the conference (may have to pay for one or two meals while traveling).
If you plan on attending notify Bonnie Ladner by January 27 (Ladner@ise.msstate.edu). You will need to register by February 1 using the link on the conference website link given above.

1 Book for 1 Book. No $$$ involved. Recycle Your Books!
Also any unwanted books will be collected for an ISE private Library, so bring your books to the Bungalow anytime during the above hours to Swap/Donate your books.
